Scorpio Used in Bride's Murder Found, Police Probe Deepens

A shocking case in Sonpur, Bihar, where a newlywed bride was murdered and her body dumped outside her home, has seen a breakthrough with the recovery of the Scorpio vehicle used in the crime. CCTV footage captured the incident, showing the body being thrown from the car at midnight. The Scorpio, bearing a police sticker, was found at the residence of a former village head in Lalganj police station area. This individual is the father-in-law of SI Santosh Rajak, currently posted in Muzaffarpur. The vehicle has been seized, and forensic teams have collected evidence. The bride's family has accused her husband and in-laws of dowry-related harassment and murder, claiming they demanded an additional ₹3 lakh after receiving ₹8 lakh for land registration. An SIT has been formed to investigate the case, including the role of the SI. Efforts are underway to apprehend the bride's husband.
