Retired Punjab ASI Dies by Suicide in Phagwara
A 70-year-old retired Assistant Sub-Inspector, Karamjit Singh Sandhu, died by suicide on Sunday at his home in Phagwara's Guru Nanakpura area, Punjab. Police reported he shot himself with his licensed revolver and initial investigations suggest he was under stress from an ongoing legal dispute. Sandhu was also president of the Guru Nanak Welfare Society and a Punjabi writer. Police have commenced an investigation.
