Fire in Dwarka Building Destroys Goods Worth Crores, One Injured
A fire broke out in a building in Dwarka, South-West Delhi, destroying goods worth millions of rupees in several shops. The fire, which started in the stilt parking area of a four-story building in Dwarka Sector 7, engulfed a ready-made garment shop on the ground floor and a warehouse on the first floor. The owner had recently received a consignment of clothes worth approximately 70-80 lakh rupees. To escape the flames, a 21-year-old employee jumped from the first floor, sustaining an ankle sprain. No other injuries or fatalities were reported. Firefighters took two hours to douse the blaze, which is suspected to have been caused by sparks from a water motor in the parking area. A detailed investigation is underway.
