Fake IPS Officer Posing as SPG Official Arrested in Bhiwadi
Police in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, have apprehended a man identified as Saurabh Kumar, a software engineer from Uttar Pradesh, for posing as an IPS officer from the Special Protection Group (SPG). Kumar, who resided in Delhi, arrived at the police station in a Scorpio with "Police" written on it, claiming to be on a special mission and demanding a VIP hotel room. Suspicious of his claims and a subsequently produced fake ID, the police investigated and uncovered the fraud. Kumar admitted to using his knowledge of IPS protocols to create the fake identity and gain special privileges.
