Delhi Opposition Leader Atishi Denies Disrespecting Sikh Gurus, Seeks Unedited Video Evidence

Delhi's Leader of the Opposition, Atishi, has submitted her response to a notice from the Privilege Committee of the Delhi Legislative Assembly. She has vehemently denied the accusations leveled against her, stating that respecting Sikh Gurus is a fundamental value in her life. Atishi asserted that the allegations are baseless and that she has never disrespected the Gurus. To establish the truth, she has requested the committee to provide the original, unedited video recording of the assembly proceedings from January 6th. This dispute stems from alleged remarks made during the assembly session on January 6th, which led to criticism from the opposition. Atishi believes that an unadulterated video will clarify the facts. She emphasized her deep respect for Sikh Gurus and their teachings, stating that disrespecting any great personality or Guru is against her principles and upbringing. She assured the committee that her words were misrepresented and that she cannot even imagine disrespecting the Gurus. Atishi challenged the allegations by questioning the authenticity of the evidence presented and appealed for the complete, unedited video footage of that day's assembly proceedings, believing that the currently presented evidence or video clips do not reveal the full truth.
