Key Suspect in $13 Billion International Drug Ring Arrested in Sikkim
Delhi Police's Special Cell has arrested Tilak Prasad Sharma, a key accused in an international drug trafficking network valued at $13 billion. The arrest in Sikkim is linked to the seizure of 1,290 kg of cocaine and mephedrone, and 40 kg of Thai marijuana. Investigations reveal the network's extensive international reach, with 17 individuals apprehended so far and several foreign handlers still at large. Sharma allegedly acted as a courier, transporting marijuana from Thailand to India via suitcases. He had previously been apprehended in Nepal with marijuana but escaped from prison. After returning to India, he went underground, evading authorities until his recent capture in Sikkim.
