Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision on KMP Expressway Claims Two Lives

A severe multi-vehicle collision occurred Sunday morning on the Kundli–Manesar–Palwal (KMP) Expressway in Nuh district's Tawadu sub-division. Five heavy vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction crash after one vehicle suddenly braked, leading to a dumper loaded with gravel and an Amazon container catching fire. The dumper's driver and conductor were trapped and burned alive at the scene. The Amazon container, transporting goods like clothes, shoes, and mobile phones, saw items worth approximately 1.25 crore Indian Rupees completely destroyed by the fire. The accident caused a 6-kilometer traffic jam that lasted for four hours. Firefighters worked for nearly three and a half hours to control the blaze, after which cranes and JCBs cleared the wreckage to restore traffic. Police have initiated an investigation and have urged drivers to exercise caution, especially in foggy and cold weather conditions.
