Delhi-Jaipur Highway to Implement Barrier-Free Toll Collection System
The Delhi-Jaipur National Highway is set to introduce a Multi-lane Free Flow (MLFF) system, eliminating the need for vehicles to stop at toll plazas. This technology will enable barrier-free toll collection, with charges deducted automatically from FASTag accounts via high-speed cameras scanning number plates. Work is progressing rapidly at the Shahjahanpur, Manoharpur, and Daulatpur toll plazas, with the system expected to become operational by April 1. This initiative aims to save time, reduce fuel consumption, and streamline traffic flow on the highway. The MLFF system will be implemented across 10 major national highways nationwide, and additional cameras will be installed to automatically issue challans for traffic violations.
