Lesbian Couple Marries at Bageshwar Dham Amidst Family Opposition

Two women friends, Anjali and Mohini, have married at Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur after a five-year relationship. The ceremony took place on January 12. Family opposition led to a significant commotion at the Civil Lines police station, where one of the women appealed to the police to let her stay with her partner. Both women are adults and claim to be in the relationship willingly. Police are considering the legal aspects of the situation and attempting to mediate. This is reportedly the third such same-sex marriage case in Chhatarpur district.
