KGMU Intern Doctor Arrested for Sexual Exploitation and Blackmail of Nursing Student

A KGMU intern doctor, Mohammad Adeel, has been arrested by Lucknow police on charges of sexual exploitation and blackmailing a nursing student. The accused allegedly had a physical relationship with the victim by promising marriage and threatened to viral her photos and videos online. Following a complaint, the accused was on the run but was apprehended near Redcross Hospital with the help of informants. The victim reported that Adeel befriended her, promised marriage, and then repeatedly called her to his flat, where he exploited her physically. When she pressured him for marriage, he allegedly threatened to release compromising material online. A case was registered on December 29, leading to the arrest. Police are investigating the extent of the threats and blackmail. The incident has raised safety concerns among medical and nursing students, who are advised to report any such incidents immediately.
